Fujikura One-Click-Cleaner for backplane connector cleaning

Fujikura Europe has launched a low cost disposable cleaning tool, allowing easier cleaning of connectors and receptacles in the backplane.

The cleaner accommodates SC, ST and FC connector types, and an additional tool is available for MU and LC types.

The ‘One-Click-Cleaner’ is simple to operate and offers an elongated design that facilitates the cleaning of all single fibre connectors, in both the front and back planes.

The disposable device provides up to 500 cleans, at a cost of only 7.5 Euro cents per clean.

“This is a remarkably simple tool, but one that is absolutely essential to the continued performance of connections in patch panels,” said Fujikura Europe product manager, Brian Leonard.

“We feel that the innovative design of this product, combined with the compelling cost per clean, makes the ‘One-Click Cleaner’ a hugely competitive alternative to existing offerings in the marketplace.”
